Failior Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Failior handles personal information and service data when you visit our website, create an account, deploy our monitoring products, or receive notifications from us.

Effective date: April 1, 2026

Information We Collect

Failior collects information needed to operate the service, secure accounts, process subscriptions, and deliver monitoring features. The categories of information we collect depend on how you use the platform, what features you enable, and which integrations you connect.

If you create an account or contact us, we may collect identity and account details such as your name, email address, organization name, billing information, support communications, and authentication records. If you configure phone notifications or account verification flows, we may collect and store the phone number you provide for those purposes.

  • Account and profile data, including names, email addresses, organization details, and login/session records.
  • Billing and subscription information, including plan selection, invoices, payment events, and account entitlements.
  • Monitoring configuration, including domains, API targets, alert settings, graph definitions, notification rules, and webhook destinations.
  • Operational telemetry generated by the platform, such as health checks, response times, dependency signals, incident records, and notification delivery logs.
  • Browser RUM data when you deploy the Failior RUM script, including page paths, timing metrics, device/browser metadata, release or environment labels, and other performance signals described in the product documentation.
  • Optional incident logging or debugging data that you choose to enable, which may include request metadata, error context, URLs, stack traces, and related diagnostic events.
  • Usage, analytics, and security data such as IP addresses, audit logs, support requests, abuse-prevention signals, and cookies or similar browser storage used to keep the site working.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Failior. That includes authenticating users, running uptime and dependency monitoring, surfacing incidents, generating dashboards, processing subscriptions, investigating abuse, and responding to customer support requests.

We also use information to understand service reliability, troubleshoot bugs, prevent fraud or misuse, and measure how features are used. We may aggregate or de-identify information for analytics, service planning, security monitoring, or product improvement.

  • Operate uptime checks, dependency analysis, incident detection, alert delivery, dashboards, and graph-based diagnostics.
  • Authenticate users, maintain sessions, enforce plan entitlements, and protect account security.
  • Process payments, subscription changes, and administrative communications.
  • Investigate abuse, service failures, account misuse, and legal or security incidents.
  • Improve product quality, feature design, performance, support processes, and documentation.

SMS Messaging and Phone Notifications

If you enable SMS notifications in Failior, you authorize us to use your provided phone number to send operational or account-related text messages, such as monitor alerts, recovery notices, or verification messages you explicitly request. We do not treat this as a blanket consent to send unrelated marketing messages.

Message frequency depends on your configured monitors, incidents, and account activity. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. You can disable SMS alerts in the Failior dashboard or follow carrier-level opt-out instructions such as STOP where available.

  • SMS delivery may be provided through Twilio or a similar messaging vendor acting on our behalf.
  • We use phone numbers to deliver requested notifications, validate message delivery, investigate failed sends, and support account security workflows.
  • We do not sell SMS opt-in data, and we do not share phone numbers with third parties for their independent marketing use.
  • If you send HELP, STOP, or similar carrier commands through supported channels, delivery behavior may be affected by carrier or provider policies in addition to your Failior settings.

Browser RUM and Monitoring Telemetry

If you install Failior Browser RUM or related monitoring code, Failior collects browser-side performance and reliability signals for your configured sites or applications. This may include page views, Core Web Vitals, timing measurements, host or release labels, browser and device characteristics, and related telemetry necessary to present performance summaries and correlate incidents.

When optional incident logging or correlation features are enabled, Failior may also collect limited diagnostic context associated with failing requests, error groups, or graph traces. Because those features are controlled by your implementation choices, you are responsible for ensuring that the data you send to Failior is appropriate for your users and lawful for you to provide.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the site functional, remember user preferences, manage sessions, secure access to the dashboard, and measure product usage. Some of these technologies are necessary for the service to work correctly.

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling required cookies may prevent portions of the Failior website or dashboard from working properly.

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect rights and security, or complete transactions you request. We may disclose information to infrastructure providers, payment processors, messaging providers, analytics services, support tools, and professional advisers acting on our behalf under appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

  • Service providers that help us host, secure, operate, support, bill for, or deliver Failior.
  • Messaging providers used to send SMS alerts or verification messages you have enabled.
  • Law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Successors or counterparties in a business transaction involving Failior.

Data Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Failior, satisfy contractual commitments, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, comply with law, and preserve security records. Retention periods may vary based on plan features, operational settings, incident data, billing records, and legal requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for configuring the platform in a way that is appropriate for your own data sensitivity and regulatory obligations.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law.

You may update account information in the product where available, disable optional notification channels, or contact us to request additional assistance.

Children, International Use, and Changes

Failior is intended for business and technical users and is not directed to children. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date, post a notice on the site, or provide other notice where appropriate.
